IWG5 Project Opens Applications for Two Task Forces

The SET-Plan Implementation working group on Energy Efficiency in Buildings announced a call to collect applications for two new task forces on Just transition: affordable, sustainable renovation and Energy-efficient buildings as job-creation motor. The call is looking for a Chair, co- Chair and task force members. You can find more information and apply via this link.

Throwback to Annual RHC ETIP Conference 

This year’s 100% RHC Annual Event took place on April 10th in Graz and was organised as part of the ISEC 2024 conference. We are pleased that this year’s event was successful and attracted over 100 participants interested in renewable heating and cooling topics. You can find the presentations here.
Invitation to West Europe Regional Roundtable 
The RHC-ETIP project is organising a regional roundtable focused on the West Europe perspective. This event will connect the viewpoints of Western European countries regarding their vision for achieving 100% renewable heating and cooling (RHC) across Europe. The one-hour, free side event will be held as part of the EHP Congress on June 5th in Rotterdam. Find more information about the event and registration here.

SCALE-UP Handbook: Implementing Social Innovation in Rural Bioeconomies

The SCALE-UP project's social innovation handbook explores the crucial role of social innovation in enhancing the participation of social actors within rural bioeconomies across six pilot regions in Europe. The study aligns with the EU's recognition of social innovation as a vital component of innovation policy, contributing to economic growth, job creation, and addressing societal concerns. 
The handbook identifies seven primary stakeholder groups essential for driving social innovation and proposes tailored solutions for each pilot region, aiming to promote sustainable, inclusive, and fair circular bioeconomies through participatory governance and innovative best practices. iAMP-Hydro’s First Co-Development Workshop held & Community of Practice Inaugurated

On 11 April 2024, the first of five Co-Development Workshops of the iAMP-Hydro project (iAMP stands for intelligent Assessment Management Platform) was held. It was an online workshop, broadcasted from Granada, Spain, where the iAMP-Hydro consortium has gathered for a regular general meeting.
The iAMP-Hydro Co-Development Workshops are open for interested stakeholders to learn about new findings of the project and to openly discuss them with stakeholders from all target groups. Read more here.
11 April 2024 marked the unofficial inauguration of the iAMP-Hydro Community of Practice as well, the open exchange platform for stakeholders from the sectors PV and wind energy, as well as of course hydropower. In this forum, stakeholders who are interested in the digitalisation of hydropower plants can follow the results of the hydropower experts from the iAMP-Hydro. The connection between hydropower and PV and wind energy can mean a considerable leverage effect for the volatile RES. Registration and participation at the Community of Practice is free of charge, thanks to funding from the European Union.

POWER-E-COM’s First Progress Meeting & Participation at Conference SOSTENIBLES 2024

The POWER-E-COM project had its first Progress Meeting between 27 and 28 May 2024 in Rivas, Spain. During the meeting, not only the development of POWER-E-COM was discussed. The consortium had the pleasure to welcome CINEA Project Adviser Vinicius Valente at the meeting and was honoured to inform authorities and citizens from the Madrid metropolitan region about the project. This was made possible by the POWER-E-COM project partners Ayuntamiento (City Counsil) Rivas and ESCAN. Ayuntamiento Rivas organised from 27 to 29 May the first event about sustainability and digitalisation in the region.
Project partners from Austria (Energiesparverband Oberösterreich) and Ireland (Technical University of the Shannon and Community Power) informed about the situation of energy communities in their countries. WIP is the coordinator of POWER-E-COM and informed the participants about the whole project.
