Boosting Growth and Sustainability through Energy-Efficient Buildings
 
As a proud partner in Implementation Working Group 5 (IWG5), WIP Renewable Energies is committed to supporting the Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan. IWG5 focuses on improving energy efficiency in buildings through research and innovation at the national and European levels.

As part of the project, a recent White Paper on Energy-efficient Buildings as a Job-Creation Motor has been published.

Skills4DHC Project Holds First Progress Meeting in Rotterdam
 
The Skills4DHC project held its first progress meeting in Rotterdam, addressing the growing need for skilled professionals in the district heating and cooling (DHC) sector. 

Partners discussed training strategies and attracting new talent. 
A workshop on the Dutch market provided valuable insights into heat networks and related courses at TU Delft.

This event set a strong foundation for future collaboration.

SUPREMAS Project Kicks Off with Stakeholders Workshop in Porto
 
The first SUPREMAS Stakeholders Workshop was held on 18th February 2025 at Aguas Do Porto’s headquarters in Porto, Portugal.

The project aims to develop syngas production units for treating sewage sludge, digestate, and the organic fraction of municipal waste.
Stakeholders engaged in discussions with SUPREMAS partners and provided input for the design of the syngas unit, alongside a visit to Aguas Do Porto's wastewater treatment plant.

This workshop marks the first in a series of upcoming events.
